Dr Bhavika Patel, GP

MPharm (Hons), MBChB, MRCGP

Bhavi started off her career as a Community Pharmacist in 2007, living and working in the

Leicestershire and Rutland region in the UK. She eventually went on to study medicine, initially pursuing paediatrics before deciding to train as a GP in Oxford. She lived and worked there for 8 years before moving to Jersey with her family. She has a wide breadth of experience in specialities such as paediatrics, emergency medicine, ear nose and throat surgery, general surgery, acute medicine, elderly care and dermatology.

She offers joint injections, cryotherapy, smear screening and has an interest in women’s health.

In her spare time she enjoys globe-trotting as well as practising yoga, meditation, ayurveda and spending time with friends and family. She also volunteers for and helps to organise an annual charitable event in the UK hosting up to 20,000 members of the public.

Dr Andrew Peel

Dr Peel brings decades of experience to Windsor. His previous experience in the UK had been focused on helping GP practices improve their performance from the perspective of the patient experience and in relation to their CQC scoring.

The opportunity to work at Windsor Medical arose at an ideal time as his children had grown up and so a move to Jersey was on!

Windsor Medical has provided the perfect environment to deliver the very best primary care in a refreshing and caring practice. His interests in mens’ health, mental health, and care of the elderly align perfectly with the practice’s goals.

He is keen to assist patients by supporting them in a variety of situations needing attention to detail whether this relates to medication reviews or in writing on behalf of a patient to a third party or organisation.

Outside of work, he can be found wandering on Jersey’s beautiful coastal paths or following any local rugby team.

Dr Mark Wilbourn

Mark trained at the University of Southampton. He undertook Basic Surgical Training in Rotherham and Sheffield. He subsequently spent four years training in ENT and Maxillofacial Surgery before deciding that only General Practice offered the breadth of practice that he was suited to. He therefore opted to train as a GP in the Wessex region.

After his medical degree, Mark has undertaken the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England diploma, the Diploma in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, a Postgraduate Certificate in Public Health and Epidemiology, the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare, the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners and has some diplomas in nutrition. He has been awarded the Royal College of General Practitioners Fellowship, their highest award.

Mark moved to Jersey in 2010 and has worked in Rosewood House, Sandybrook Nursing Home, Island Medical Centre and the Primary Care Governance Team.

Mark currently works part time 5 days per week for Windsor Medical Practice and alternate Saturday mornings. He is also a GP appraiser and former Advanced Trauma Life Support instructor. He is a Trustee of The Oxygen Centre, MSNTC trustee and a qualified Barochamber operator.
