WINDSOR MEDICAL PRACTICE
We are a small, friendly practice with a simple commitment, to provide personalised, attentive GP care tailored to your individual health needs.
Established in the late 1940s at Windsor Crescent, we are now based at the Lido Medical Centre, offering excellent parking and convenient access to a range of complementary services including a pharmacy, chiropractor, and physiotherapist. We also maintain close working relationships with our secondary care colleagues and have a strong understanding of local services across the island.
But what truly sets us apart is our size. Being a small practice means you’re not just a name on a list, you’ll see a familiar face, never have to repeat your medical history, and over time, we’ll get to know you and your family properly. We believe that continuity of care isn’t just a benefit, it’s the foundation of truly exceptional general practice.
WINDSOR MEDICAL CBPM
Windsor Medical CBPM is the only local GP surgery where patients can be assessed to receive treatment directly with their doctor. We are an independent GP practice and our doctors are experts in the field of medicinal cannabis and can provide an assessment to see if you may be eligible for a medicinal cannabis treatment.
Dr Maria (Chus) Tome GP
Dr Maria is a passionate and dedicated GP who brings a truly international perspective to Windsor Medical. Originally from Spain, she graduated from the University of Alcalá de Henares in Madrid before building an impressive career spanning two continents.
Prior to joining the practice, Dr Maria spent two decades working as a GP within the NHS, alongside a long-standing role as a medico-legal expert in personal injuries since 2008. She made Jersey her home in 2020, and wasted no time making an impact, serving as the Clinical GP Lead for the Fort Regent Vaccination Programme during the Covid pandemic, overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of vaccines to the local community.
Her special interests in mental health, women’s health, and rheumatology allow her to offer a broad and thoughtful approach to patient care. She is also proud to support Jersey’s Spanish and Portuguese-speaking communities, offering a bilingual service that helps patients feel truly understood.
Outside of the practice, Dr Maria is a nature lover at heart, happiest exploring Jersey’s stunning coastline and countryside on foot.
Dr Andrew Peel
Dr Peel is a highly experienced GP who brings decades of knowledge to Windsor Medical, with a background that includes helping practices achieve the highest standards of care from both a patient experience and CQC perspective.
His special interests in men’s health, mental health, and care of the elderly align closely with Windsor’s values and commitment to delivering excellent primary care.
Dr Peel also takes pride in the detail-oriented side of general practice — whether that’s thorough medication reviews or advocating for patients through correspondence to third parties and organisations.
When he’s not in the practice, you’ll find him exploring Jersey’s stunning coastal paths or cheering on one of the island’s rugby teams.
Dr Gregor McEwan
Dr McEwan is a highly experienced GP who brings a wealth of knowledge to Windsor Medical, with a clinical background that spans both everyday general practice and more specialist areas of medicine.
His special interests in rheumatology and sports injuries make him particularly well placed to help patients dealing with joint, muscle, and musculoskeletal conditions — whether that’s a long-term condition or an acute injury needing careful management.
Alongside this, Dr McEwan has a strong focus on diabetes, weight management, and men’s health — areas where thoughtful, ongoing support from a trusted GP can make a real and lasting difference to a patient’s quality of life.
Outside of the practice, Dr McEwan is a keen fitness enthusiast and has a passion for electronic dance music — taking it well beyond just listening, he DJs at various festivals and brings the same energy and enthusiasm to the decks as he does to his patients. He’s also known around the practice for his excellent sense of humour, making him as easy to laugh with as he is to talk to.
